Exercise boosts the immune system, may prevent weight gain, reduces stress and anxiety and even improves sleep. Here are 4 tips to boost your winter workout routine:
Make the most of your lunch break
Working out in the middle of the day helps you take advantage of peak light hours. You can take a brisk walk outdoors (weather permitting) or do a quick cardio routine to energize your afternoon.
Explore a new group exercise class
Make a reservation and secure your spot in a socially-distanced group exercise class. You can also take a virtual class to connect with instructors and your peers.
Plan family friendly activities.
Play indoor games, walk, take a hike or exercise with the members of your household. Lead by example with being active and making healthier choices.
Refresh your workout playlist
Add some new tunes to your playlist or download your favorite podcasts/audiobooks. This will give you something to look forward too as you work out.
